The Equicast Wood Therapeutic Shoe/ Clog therapeutic solid Wood Shoes were based on the original designs by Dr. Mike Steward. They have a leather rim pad attached as shock absorption measure and a recessed area for sole relief aiding comfort. They can be used to help resolve problems from laminitis, white line disease, broken coffin bones, founder, long toe or low heel syndrome which can all benefit from the unique multi directional leverage reducing design.
A walking rehabilitation program is encouraged once these shoes are fitted to increase circulation, which in turn helps to improve hoof quality. Fitting can be achieved using Equicast, glue or screws to create a secure hold on the hoof.
